The original Xplorer motor homes were based on the Dodge A108 van. A compact fiberglass body encloses the roof and the rear portion of the body. These were the first sell-contained motor homes you could park in a standard-sized garage.

When the A108 vans were replaced by the B-series in 1971, Xplorer shifted to that platform.
